Mmm mars bar slice, how could you go wrong? I made this the other day when I had some friends over and thought I would share it with you all. It is so quick and easy, it is my fallback recipe whenever I need to bring a plate and don't have much time. I'm sure many of you already have a mars bar slice recipe but for those of you who don't here is mine:
Ingredients ~
- 3 1/2 mars bars, chopped (eat the other half as you cook!)
- 3 cups of rice bubbles
- 90g butter
- 250g chocolate
To Make ~
- Melt the butter and mars bars together in a saucepan over low heat. Stir continually so it doesn't burn. The mixture will separate - don't worry it will come back together when all the mars bar is melted
- Stir the rice bubbles into the melted chocolate mixture.
- Press into a tin or put in individual patty pans
- When cool melt the chocolate and pour over the top of the slice
- Serve and enjoy :)
Notes ~
- If you put the slice in individual patty pans it saves on washing up and you don't have to worry about slicing it up (it is had to slice and a bit messy)
- If you use silicon patty pans the slice pops right out when set, this means you don't have to worry about it sticking to the paper like in other patty pans. Plus they look really cute like this :)
