Lunch Platter

My friend Alison was up from Sydney today and was going to come round for afternoon tea. She is in Canberra for a swimming comp so I was trying to do a healthy afternoon tea. Except that she bailed to go and see the War Memorial instead (I know, rude! lol). And Nathan and had not eaten lunch by the time afternoon tea came around, so it turned into a lunch platter for us to share. The best thing about a platter is that you don't actually have to cook anything and it looks professional. Cold meats, fresh fruit, tasty cheese and some nuts make for a perfect meal.  Here is a piccie of our platter:

  • bbq chicken
  • french baguette
  • apple
  • kiwi fruit
  • rockmelon
  • camembert
  • mersey valley crumbly cheese
  • strawberries
  • water crackers
  • almonds
Yum, yum, yum. It was followed by a dessert of tim tams :) Good times.
